The Best Trading Brokerages Available

Spread the love

There are a couple of things that can literally make or break your trading career. Although a little farther down on the list in terms of priority, an online broker is definitely included in it. A bad broker can lead to missed trades, difficulty filling orders at dollar amounts you’d like, and even worse, incorrectly placed trades and lost funds. We have compiled the top 3 brokers we feel are the best, and will include some from Canada and the United States!

Questrade

Questrade

By far the best brokerage we have ever dealt with. Questrade has upped their services tremendously over the years and does one thing right; it listens to their customers. With a crazy advanced trading platform and cheap commissions, this brokerage is a match made in heaven for a heavy trader, especially with their trading commission packages and market streaming packs.

TD Ameritrade

TD

TD Ameritrade is probably on par with Questrade, but I haven’t used it as much so I don’t know for sure. Their commission minimums are a little higher than Questrade(6.95 vs 4.99) but they offer by far the largest variety of trade tools available through it’s desktop based platforms. TD boasts the best in class ratings for practically every single area you could cover in an online brokerage. My reasoning to put Questrade up top was simply because I have used both and prefer Questrades platform more.

Etrade

Etrade

Etrades commissions are right on par with TD’s at 6.95 a piece and although they aren’t a bad broker, they are simply lacking in quality what TD and Questrade bring to the table. That being said, Etrade provides the best mobile experience out there and that is the reason they made this list. Although I do not trade from my phone very often for obvious reasons, for someone who wants to this would be a great feature to have.
